Jon oversees the investment selection, research, and asset allocation decisions. He is a voting member of the Investment Committee. Jon received a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance, Real Estate and Marketing. He is a CFA Charterholder.
Cyrus co-manages the investment selection, research, and asset allocation decisions. He is a voting member of the Investment Committee. Cyrus received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, a J.D. from Boston College Law School, is a Member of NY State Bar Association, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Shawn leads the firm’s advanced financial planning and family office team. He is also a voting member of the Investment Committee where he participates in investment selection, research, and asset allocation decisions. Shawn received his M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is both a CFA Charterholder and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Lisa joined Charlesworth & Rugg, Inc. in 1983. With over thirty years experience in the investment management field, she is responsible for portfolio trading, operations management, client reporting and implementing compliance procedures. She received a B.A. degree from UCLA and an M.B.A. from CSUN.
Dr. Rugg founded Charlesworth & Rugg, Inc. in 1976. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from UCLA and has served on the faculty of UCLA, Santa Clara, and Pepperdine Universities. Before founding Charlesworth & Rugg, Inc., he was an economist for Rand Corporation. Dr. Rugg is a non-voting member of the Investment Committee and primarily focuses upon the firm’s research and portfolio management activities.
Jamie oversees firm financial planning, and participates in investment analysis and research. Prior to joining the firm, Jamie led operations and strategy at a startup, and held numerous management positions in operations, training and development. She received her B.S. from the Marshall School of Business at USC. Jamie is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
David is responsible for firm marketing, recruiting and communication. Before joining Charlesworth and Rugg, David was with JPMorgan's Asset Management division where he focused on building the client base for their ETF business. Prior to JPMorgan he was a Senior Associate with New York Life's MainStay Investments. He received his B.S. in Economics from Ohio University.
Tom oversees C&R’s east coast Corporate Services division. Before joining the firm, Tom worked as a private banking advisor for Merrill Lynch. Tom held multiple financial advisory roles at Merrill before joining the firm’s Private Banking division in 2012. He received his B.S. in Finance and Economics from Caldwell University.
Aaron oversees C&R’s west coast Corporate Services division and is responsible for assisting business owners in expanding their operations by focusing on employee retention and attrition, mitigating risk and utilizing tax saving strategies. Prior to joining the firm, Aaron managed the Corporate Services Department at American Financial Network and was a Senior Client Relationship Manager in Prudential Retirement Services serving high net worth clients. Aaron received a B.A. in Economics from California State University, Northridge and he is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF).
Hugh assists in leading the firm’s business development and social media platform. He participates in investment selection, research, and asset allocation decisions. Prior to joining C&R in 2019, Hugh worked for Wells Fargo Advisors for 14 years. He was a portfolio manager working for one of the most successful teams focusing on ultra-high-net-worth clients. Hugh received his M.B.A. from Loyola Marymount University.
David received BA degree in Mathematics from National C.K.U. in Tainan, Taiwan, and MA degree in
Economics from CU in Boulder, Colorado. He earned CFP® designation in 2000, CLU in 1989, and has
been a member of the American Academy of Actuaries since 1980. Before joining C&R Advisors, David ran a successful financial planning practice at Northwestern
Mutual for over 30 years. Prior to Northwestern Mutual, he worked as a casualty actuary specializing in loss reserve analysis and financial modeling. He also served as Chairman of Insurance at T.K.U. in Taipei, Taiwan between 1983 and 1985.
David has been a part of the team since 2001, and his primary responsibilities are in client liaison services and business development. David has broad experience as an executive in the insurance, accounting and finance industries and was previously President of Heritage Insurance Group. He received his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School of Business.
